This has been an extremely challenging time for everyone as the State has started to open up and allow restaurants, gyms, stores, etc to operate at various levels. Many are taking that as a sign that the pandemic is behind us. Based on current reports over the past two weeks that couldn’t be further from the truth. Our State and specifically our area is spiking on an almost daily basis.
Our recommendation is for individuals to continue to wear masks, practice social distancing, thoroughly wash hands several times per day, and use common sense.
Our communities, many of whom have still not opened on-site recreation facilities and pools, are facing daily questioning from members. Please remember that your Board of Directors has a fiduciary obligation to do what is best for the welfare of the community as a whole even if it is not entirely popular.
Currently when recreational facilities are opened there are strict monitoring requirements, sanitation requirements, and the potential for severe fines if these requirements are not met.
As if this isn’t enough, we are entering hurricane season. Your Phoenix managers are educated and experienced in the necessary precautions for the Association. Utilization of websites, emails and regular mailings to members are recommended to insure everyone in the community is aware of how they can be best prepared in case of a hurricane or tropical storm.
